Paratypes: AMS I.20831-001 (2), BMNH 1980.5.21.12 (1). •Valid as Myersina lachneri Hoese & Lubbock 1982 -- (Allen 1999:49 [ref. 24275], Larson & Murdy 2001:3598 [ref. 26293], Winterbottom 2002:70 [ref. 25955], Allen & Adrim 2003:59 [ref. 26830], Shibukawa & Satapoomin 2006:29 [ref. 28710], Allen & Erdmann 2012:880 [ref. 31980], Greenfield & Randall 2018:97 [ref. 36091]). Current status: Valid as Myersina lachneri Hoese & Lubbock 1982. Gobiidae: Gobiinae. Distribution: Southeastern Indian Ocean and western Pacific: Bali, New Britain and Papua New Guinea. Habitat: marine.
