Paratypes: MRAC 76-4-P-259 (1), UMMZ 199958 (54, 1 c&s). •Valid as Neolamprologus prochilus (Bailey & Stewart 1977) -- (Maréchal & Poll 1991:289 [ref. 20946], Schelly et al. 2003:3 [ref. 27431], Konings 2015:143 [ref. 34660], Konings 2019:150 [ref. 36983]). Current status: Valid as Neolamprologus prochilus (Bailey & Stewart 1977). Cichlidae: Pseudocrenilabrinae. Distribution: Eastern Africa: Zambian shore of Lake Tanganyika. Habitat: freshwater.
