freminvillii, Doidixodon Valenciennes [A.] 1846:no p., Pl. 5 [Voyage autour du monde sur la frégate "la Vénus"; ref. 6165] Galápagos Islands. Holotype (unique): MNHN A-0762 (dry). Type catalog: Bauchot 1963:163 [ref. 20718] as Doydixodon freminvillii. Dates to publication in plate; corresponding text published as Valenciennes 1855:323 [ref. 4504] with genus as Doydixodon. The original spelling freminvillii is acceptable. •Valid as Girella freminvillii (Valenciennes 1846) -- (Allen & Robertson 1994:176 [ref. 22193] but dating to Jordan & Fesler 1893 and as freminvillei, Grove & Lavenberg 1997:432 [ref. 24023] as freminvilli, McCosker & Rosenblatt 2010:193 [ref. 30957] as fremenvillei, Knudsen & Clements 2013:77 [ref. 33031]). Current status: Valid as Girella freminvillii (Valenciennes 1846). Girellidae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: Galápagos Islands. Habitat: marine.
