Type catalog: Moore & Boardman 1991:12 [ref. 16741] as luculentes. •Valid as Ilypnus luculentus (Ginsburg 1938) -- (Nelson et al. 2004:172 [ref. 27807], Van Tassell 2011:144 [ref. 31732], Page et al. 2013:177 [ref. 32708]). Current status: Valid as Ilypnus luculentus (Ginsburg 1938). Gobiidae: Gobionellinae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: Gulf of California. Habitat: marine.
