Paratypes: LACM 22741-42 (1, 1), USNM 119901 (1). •Valid as Parrella maxillaris Ginsburg 1938 -- (Hoese 1973:818 [ref. 23968], Allen & Robertson 1994:269 [ref. 22193] in Parella, Hoese in Fischer et al. 1995:1135 [ref. 22829], Nelson et al. 2004:173 [ref. 27807], Van Tassell 2011:168 [ref. 31732], Page et al. 2013:178 [ref. 32708]). Current status: Valid as Parrella maxillaris Ginsburg 1938. Gobiidae: Gobiinae. Distribution: East Pacific: Gulf of California to Panama. Habitat: marine.
