Madagascar Neuroleontina

This subtribe has more species than any other in Madagascar. However, the included species are not as frequently seen as other species. At this time there are six genera and 19 species included in the subtribe. They are recognized by a combination of characters: a) the forewing vein CuP+1A bends sharply away from CuA shortly after its origin, b) there are only one or two presectoral radial crossveins in the hind wing, and c) numerous setae extend the entire length of the fifth tarsal segment. The six genera can be separated using the keys in Stange (2004).
