Madagascar Acanthaclisini

This tribe includes antlions that are thick-bodied and very hairy. Adults have a peculiar fusion of CuA with the posterior branch of MP2 shortly after its fork. Larvae actively pursue their prey through loose sand. There are three genera that can be separated using Stange (2004). Most Madagascar species, as with some continental African species, have a peculiar offset of the end of forewing presectoral crossveins.
