Current status: Synonym of Dermatias platynogaster Smith & Radcliffe 1912. Oneirodidae. Habitat: marine.

M.] & Radcliffe [L.] in Radcliffe 1912:206, Pl. 17 (fig. 3) [Proceedings of the United States National Museum v. 42 (no. 1896); ref. 3577] Near Sialat Point Light, eastern coast of Luzon Island, 13°40'57"N, 123°57'45"E, Albatross station D.5463, Philippines, depth 300 fathoms [549 meters]. Holotype (unique): USNM 70269. Males unknown. •Synonym of Oneirodes eschrichtii Lütken 1871 -- (Bertelsen 1990:504 [ref. 15654]). •Valid as Dermatias platynogaster Smith & Radcliffe 1912 -- (Pietsch & Kharin 2004:123 [ref. 27509], Pietsch 2009:423 [ref. 30766], Ho et al. 2016:290 [ref. 34483]). Current status: Valid as Dermatias platynogaster Smith & Radcliffe 1912. Oneirodidae. Distribution: Western North Pacific and western Pacific and Australia. Habitat: marine.
