Current status: Valid as Garra dunsirei Banister 1987. Cyprinidae: Labeoninae. Distribution: Middle East: Dhofar Province (Oman). Habitat: freshwater.

sindhi, Garra Lyon [R. G.], Geiger [M. F.] & Freyhof [J.] 2016:80, Figs. 2-5 [Zootaxa 4154 (no. 1); ref. 34670] Wadi Andhur, Dhofar province, Oman, 17°34'6.956"N, 54°42'17.518"E. Holotype: ONHM 4196. Paratypes: FSJF, ONHM. Dedicated to a woman, so the correct species epithet would be sindhae. •Valid as Garra sindhae Lyon, Geiger & Freyhof 2016 -- (Freyhof et al. 2020:179 [ref. 37658], Esmaeili et al. 2022:473 [ref. 39253], Freyhof et al. 2025:218 [ref. 42718]). •Synonym of Garra dunsirei Banister 1987 -- (Sayyadzadeh et al. 2023:335 [ref. 40780]). Current status: Synonym of Garra dunsirei Banister 1987. Cyprinidae: Labeoninae. Habitat: freshwater.

smarti, Garra Krupp [F.] & Budd [K.] 2009:117, Figs.1-4 [aqua, International Journal of Ichthyology v. 15 (no. 2); ref. 30148] Wadi Hasik, 17°26.5'77"'N, 55°13'40.11"E, Dhofar Province, Oman. Holotype: SMF 31301. Paratypes: ONHM uncat. (5); SMF 31302 (4), 31303 (1). Named after Ms. Emma Smart, therefore the correct species epithet would be smartae. •Valid as Garra smartae Krupp & Budd 2009 -- (Hamidan et al. 2014:235 [ref. 33626] as smarti, Lyon et al. 2016:87 [ref. 34670] as smarti, Freyhof et al. 2020:181 [ref. 37658], Esmaeili et al. 2022:475 [ref. 39253], Freyhof et al. 2025:219 [ref. 42718]). •Synonym of Garra dunsirei Banister 1987 -- (Sayyadzadeh et al. 2023:335 [ref. 40780]). Current status: Synonym of Garra dunsirei Banister 1987. Cyprinidae: Labeoninae. Habitat: freshwater.
