Seen as marchii in the Zoological Record. •Valid as Pollimyrus marchei (Sauvage 1879) -- (Gosse 1984:118 [ref. 6169]). •Valid as Ivindomyrus marchei (Sauvage 1879) -- (Hopkins et al. 2007:321 [ref. 30019], Lavoué et al. 2010:43 [ref. 30944], Kramer et al. 2012:2233 [ref. 32160], Fermon et al. 2022:123 [ref. 39448]). Current status: Valid as Ivindomyrus marchei (Sauvage 1879). Mormyridae. Distribution: Western-central Africa: Lower Guinea and Gabon. Habitat: freshwater.

marchii, Petrocephalus Boulenger [G. A.] 1899:792 [Proceedings of the Zoological Society of London 1898 (pt 4) (art. 4); ref. 17092] This spelling used by Boulenger in several publications; in this reference the original as marchei Sauvage 1878 [1879] also is given, so marchii is regarded as an unjustified emendation. •Synonym of Ivindomyrus marchei (Sauvage 1879) -- (Kramer et al. 2012:2233 [ref. 32160]).
