Paratypes: ZSI F11462/1 (2). Type catalog: Menon & Yazdani 1968:105 [ref. 20743]. Not available from Mukerji 1933, figure (p. 831) Pl. 3, Fig. 1 [ref. 16509], no description. See Das 2003:353 [ref. 27706] with date as 1924 [sic]. •Status uncertain, in Poropuntius -- (Roberts 1998:116 [ref. 23549]). •Valid as Barbus burtoni Mukerji 1934 -- (Menon 1999:82 [ref. 24904] as bartoni). •Valid as Poropuntius burtoni (Mukerji 1934) -- (Vishwanath & Kosygin 2001:32 [ref. 25682], Kottelat 2013:143 [ref. 32989], Hoang et al. 2024:217 [ref. 41179]). Current status: Valid as Poropuntius burtoni (Mukerji 1934). Cyprinidae: Cyprininae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: Mali Hka River drainage, upper Myanmar. Habitat: freshwater. manipurensis, Acrossocheilus Datta [A. K.], Karmakar [A. K.] & Laishram [I.] 1984:167, Figs. 1-2 [Bulletin of the Zoological Survey of India v. 6 (no. 1-3); ref. 8167] Taret hill stream, Saibol, 20 kilometers east of Tengnoupal, Manipur, India. Holotype (unique): ZSI FF1698. •Synonym of Puntius clavatus (McClelland 1845) -- (Talwar & Jhingran 1991:265 [ref. 20764]). •Synonym of Poropuntius burtoni (Mukerji 1934) -- (Menon 1999:82 [ref. 24904] as bartoni). Current status: Synonym of Poropuntius burtoni (Mukerji 1934). Cyprinidae: Cyprininae. Habitat: freshwater. |
