Other material: ASU (1 lot), CAS (6 lots), CAS-SU (1 lot), UMMZ (5 lots). •Valid as Salmo apache Miller 1972 -- (Lee et al. 1980:104 [ref. 22416], Rinne & Minckley 1985:285 [ref. 22488]). •Synonym of Oncorhynchus gilae (Miller 1950), but a valid subspecies -- (Behnke 1992:217 [ref. 23385], Stearley & Smith 1993:21 [ref. 26683], Scharpf 2006:27 [ref. 30386]). •Valid as Oncorhynchus apache (Miller 1972) -- (Rinne 1990:189 [ref. 36245], Page & Burr 1991:54 [ref. 18983], Minckley & Marsh 2009:83 [ref. 31114], Page & Burr 2011:415 [ref. 31215], Page et al. 2013:86 [ref. 32708], Penaluna et al. 2016:291 [ref. 34726]). Current status: Valid as Oncorhynchus apache (Miller 1972). Salmonidae: Salmoninae. Distribution: Arizona, U.S.A. Habitat: freshwater.
