Lectotype selected by Bradbury 1962:2 [ref. 20300]. •Valid as Halieutopsis tumifrons Garman 1899 -- (Bradbury 1967:412 [ref. 23209], Bradbury 1988:15 [ref. 6428], Bradbury 2003:7 [ref. 27309], McCosker & Rosenblatt 2010:190 [ref. 30957], Ho 2021:60 [ref. 38926]). Current status: Valid as Halieutopsis tumifrons Garman 1899. Ogcocephalidae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: Galápagos Islands. Habitat: marine.
