Plate not seen, apparently not published. Correct spelling apparently is palpebratum when in Photoblepharon. Neotype designated by Golani et al. 2019:36 [ref. 36580]. •Valid as Photoblepharon palpebratus (Boddaert 1781) -- (Randall 1995:93 [ref. 22896], Kotlyar 1996:215 [ref. 23292], Randall et al. 1997:498 [ref. 25919], Myers 1999:78 [ref. 23965], Paxton & Johnson 1999:2213 [ref. 24789], Paxton & Johnson in Randall & Lim 2000:601 [ref. 25122], Laboute & Grandperrin 2000:150 [ref. 25191], Allen & Adrim 2003:26 [ref. 26830], Myers & Donaldson 2003:616 [ref. 27495] as Photoblepheron, Randall 2005:85 [ref. 28239], Paxton et al. 2006:764 [ref. 28995], Allen & Erdmann 2012:167 [ref. 31980]). •Valid as Photoblepharon palpebratum (Boddaert 1781) -- (Dor 1984:69 [ref. 29757], McCosker & Rosenblatt 1987:158 [ref. 6707], Fricke et al. 2011:372 [ref. 31242], Koeda et al. 2014:27 [ref. 35052], Golani et al. 2019:34 [ref. 36580]). Current status: Valid as Photoblepharon palpebratum (Boddaert 1781). Anomalopidae. Distribution: Eastern Indian Ocean, western Pacific: Christmas Island, Indonesia and Philippines east to Marshall Islands and Rarotonga (Cook Islands), north to Ryukyu Islands, south to eastern Australia. Habitat: marine.
