Holotype: CAS 13918. Paratypes: BPBM 8759 (1). •Valid as Minyichthys myersi (Herald & Randall 1972) -- (Dawson 1985:143 [ref. 6541], Myers 1999:94 [ref. 23965], Paulus 1999:2271 [ref. 24794], Randall et al. 2002:156 [ref. 26192], Allen & Adrim 2003:28 [ref. 26830], Myers & Donaldson 2003:618 [ref. 27495], Randall 2005:111 [ref. 28239], Kuiter 2009:231 [ref. 30404], Allen & Erdmann 2012:209 [ref. 31980], Fricke et al. 2014:48 [ref. 33932], Hamilton et al. 2016:Supplement 3 [ref. 35615], Moots 2022:484 [ref. 39722]). Current status: Valid as Minyichthys myersi (Herald & Randall 1972). Syngnathidae: Syngnathinae. Distribution: Indo-West Pacific: Saint Brandon's Shoals (Cargados Carajos); southern and eastern Indonesia and Philippines east to Society Islands, south to Papua New Guinea. Habitat: marine.
