A, but on preface p. vi it is stated, "The Plates referred to, and executed by Mr. Ford, will be published as a separate volume." The figure apparently is Pl. 4A in Boulenger 1895 [ref. 537]. •Objective synonym of Epinephelus cyanopodus (Richardson 1846) after the type of punctatissimus was made the neotype of cyanopodus -- (Randall & Heemstra 1991:128 [ref. 19601], Heemstra & Randall 1993:136 [ref. 21042], Parenti & Randall 2020:66 [ref. 37354]). Current status: Synonym of Epinephelus cyanopodus (Richardson 1846). Epinephelidae. Habitat: marine.
