Syntypes: BMNH 1931.8.15.1-5, 1931.8.15.7; MNHN 1891-0725 (1), 1891-0726 (1), 1919-0016 to 0018 (1, 1, 1). Type catalog: Bauchot et al. 1991:13 [ref. 19958]. Also appeared as new in Pellegrin 1919:101 [ref. 35118]. •Valid as Ratsirakia legendrei (Pellegrin 1919) -- (Maugé 1986:398 [ref. 6218], Reinthal & Stiassny 1997:354 [ref. 22780], Fricke et al. 2018:321 [ref. 35805], Parenti 2021:55 [ref. 38603], Larson 2022:187 [ref. 39971]). Current status: Valid as Ratsirakia legendrei (Pellegrin 1919). Eleotridae: Eleotrinae. Distribution: Madagascar endemic. Habitat: freshwater.
