Lectotype selected by Chao 1978:32 [ref. 6983]. •Synonym of Micropogonias undulatus (Linnaeus 1766) -- (Smith 1986:434 [ref. 22186]). •Synonym of Micropogonias furnieri (Desmarest 1823) -- (Chao 1978:32 [ref. 6983], Parenti 2020:30 [ref. 37439]). Current status: Synonym of Micropogonias furnieri (Desmarest 1823). Sciaenidae. Habitat: brackish, marine.
