Lectotype: USNM 32306. Paralectotypes: USNM 195573 [ex USNM 32306] (9). Additional material: CAS-SU 4112 (2). Type catalog: Böhlke 1953:32 [ref. 12291], Gilbert 1998:91 [ref. 23395]. Böhlke 1953:32 [ref. 12291] lists specimens (SU 4112) from Grenada, Mississippi as paratypes and USNM 32306 as holotype. The syntypic series (32306) from Jackson, Mississippi were listed as "special types of the species." Lectotype selected by Fingerman & Suttkus 1961:462 [ref. 22242].
