Paratypes: AMS I.14 (1), I.10193 (1), I.12300 (1), I.10344 (1), I.10388 (1), E.2304-05 (1, 1), E.725 (1), E.798 (1), E.953 (1) E.478 (1). Probable holotype located by R. Foster, email of 24 Aug. 2011. •Valid as Omegophora armilla (Waite & McCulloch 1915) -- (Hardy & Hutchins 1981:190 [ref. 5582], Kuiter 1993:422 [ref. 23929], Gomon et al. 1994:908 [ref. 22532], Kuiter 1997:414 [ref. 25488], Hutchins 2001:48 [ref. 25847], Hoese et al. 2006:1923 [ref. 29099], Matsuura 2008:853 [ref. 30661], Williams et al. 2018:99 [ref. 36359], Hoschke et al. 2019:161 [ref. 36626]). Current status: Valid as Omegophora armilla (Waite & McCulloch 1915). Tetraodontidae. Distribution: Southeastern Indian Ocean, southwestern Pacific: southern Australia north to Western Australia and New South Wales. Habitat: marine.
