Syntypes: IHB (11). •Synonym of Racoma yunnanensis (Norman 1923) -- (Wu & Wu 1992:305 [ref. 21205]). •Valid as Schizothorax paoshanensis Tsao 1964 -- (Kottelat 2013:162 [ref. 32989]). •Synonym of Schizothorax yunnanensis Norman 1923, but a valid subspecies as described -- (Mo in Chu & Chen 1989:313 [ref. 13584], Zhu 1995:90 [ref. 25213], Chen & Huang in Chen 1998:212 [ref. 23556], Chen & Cao et al. in Yue 2000:318 [ref. 25272], Zhang et al. 2016:126 [ref. 34477]). Current status: Synonym of Schizothorax yunnanensis Norman 1923. Cyprinidae: Schizothoracinae. Distribution: Donghe River and Lanzha River basin, Yunnan, China (if valid). Habitat: freshwater.
