Appeared first as name only in Rofen 1953:240 [ref. 2045]. •Synonym of Lestrolepis luetkeni (Ege 1933) -- (Mundy 2005:206 [ref. 28379], Golani & Fricke 2018:36 [ref. 36273]). •Valid as Lestrolepis pofi (Harry 1953) -- (Dor 1984:48 [ref. 29757], Goren & Dor 1994:13 [ref. 25356], Golani & Bogorodsky 2010:61 [ref. 35264], Ho & Golani 2019:572 [ref. 36800], Ho et al. 2019:138 [ref. 37154]). Current status: Valid as Lestrolepis pofi (Harry 1953). Paralepididae. Distribution: Indo-West Pacific: Madagascar, Australia, New Caledonia, Kiritimati, Japan, Hawaii. Habitat: marine.
