Syntypes: (4) BMNH 1913.3.1.38-39 (2). •Valid as Iguanodectes rachovii Regan 1912 -- (Moreira in Reis et al. 2003:172 [ref. 27061], Moreira 2024:376 [ref. 40817]). Current status: Valid as Iguanodectes rachovii Regan 1912. Iguanodectidae. Distribution: South America: Amazon River basin and coastal rivers in northeast Brazil. Habitat: freshwater.
