Holotype (unique): BMNH 1864.1.9.62 (skin). •Synonym of Distichodus mossambicus Peters 1852 -- (Daget & Gosse 1984:190 [ref. 6185], Musschoot 2024:337 [ref. 40817]). Current status: Synonym of Distichodus mossambicus Peters 1852. Distichodontidae. Habitat: freshwater.
