Regarded as name only and in the synonymy of Stigmatopora nigra Kaup 1856 by Dawson 1980:288 [ref. 21122] and Dawson 1985:178 [ref. 6541], but the specimens were compared to the species on the previous page, as "...several similar to the others, but with enormous globular eyes...." and perhaps should be regarded as available. Original genus should have been Stigmatopora. •Synonym of Stigmatopora nigra Kaup 1856 -- (Gomon et al. 1994:469 [ref. 22532] as Stigmatophora, Paxton et al. 2006:842 [ref. 29073]).
