Holotype (unique): CAS 91988 [ex IU 4646] (poor condition). •Synonym of Typhlichthys subterraneus Girard 1859 -- (Lee et al. 1980:483 [ref. 22416], Romero & Paulson 2001:31 [ref. 26040], Poly & Proudlove 2004:4 [ref. 27586], Proudlove 2006:165 [ref. 28992]). Current status: Synonym of Typhlichthys subterraneus Girard 1859. Amblyopsidae. Habitat: freshwater.
