Based solely on an illustration by Reeves [and not on specimen doubtfully included] (see Whitehead 1970:210, Pl. 19b [ref. 11606]). Neotype designated by Ng & Kottelat 2000:851 [ref. 25863]. •Valid as Cranoglanis bouderius (Richardson 1846) -- (Burgess 1989:73 [ref. 12860], Zheng et al. 1989:275 [ref. 21202], Zheng in Pan et al. 1991:295 [ref. 23876], Zhu 1995:159 [ref. 25213], Yue & Chen 1998:222 [ref. 26415], Chu in Chu et al. 1999:75 [ref. 24534], Ng & Kottelat 2000:848 [ref. 25863], Ferraris 2007:165 [ref. 29155], Zhang et al. 2016:179 [ref. 34477]). Current status: Valid as Cranoglanis bouderius (Richardson 1846). Cranoglanididae. Distribution: East Asia: southern China. IUCN (2020): Vulnerable. Habitat: freshwater.
