craticula, Synaptura McCulloch [A. R.] 1916:62, Pl. 9 (fig. 1) [Memoirs of the Queensland Museum v. 5; ref. 2944] Near Bowen, Queensland, Australia. Holotype: AMS E.2700. Paratypes: AMS I.13616 (1) The name craticula can be a noun, but in this case the feminine declension of craticulus is probably meant, because McCulloch also used adjectives for the other soles he named. Treated by Norman 1926 [ref. 3216] as an adjective. •Valid as Zebrias craticulus (McCulloch 1916) -- (Allen & Swainston 1988:146 [ref. 25477] as craticula, Allen 1997:234 [ref. 23977] as craticula, Hutchins 2001:47 [ref. 25847] as craticula, Munroe 2001:3882 [ref. 26314], Hoese & Bray 2006:1851 [ref. 29000] as craticulatus, Larson et al. 2013:228 [ref. 32988] as craticula). Current status: Valid as Zebrias craticulus (McCulloch 1916). Soleidae. Distribution: Australia. Habitat: marine.
