guentheri, Curimatus Boulenger [G. A.] 1898:4 [Bollettino dei Musei di Zoologia ed Anatomia Comparata della R. Università di Torino v. 13 (no. 329); ref. 14677] Río Vinces, Ecuador. Lectotype: BMNH 1898.11.40.50 (larger specimen). Paralectotypes: BMNH 1898.11.40.51 (1), MZUT 1538 (3). Objectively invalid, preoccupied by Curimatus guentheri Eigenmann & Eigenmann 1889, replaced by Curimatus boulengeri Eigenmann 1907 (also Curimatus guentheri Pellegrin 1908). Lectotype selected by Vari 1989:18 [ref. 13475], as 1898.11.42.50 in ref. 27061. •Synonym of Pseudocurimata boulengeri (Eigenmann 1907) -- (Vari 1989:17 [ref. 13475], Vari in Reis et al. 2003:59 [ref. 27061], Dillman & Vari 2024:326 [ref. 40817]). 1°Homonym. Current status: Synonym of Pseudocurimata boulengeri (Eigenmann 1907). Curimatidae. Habitat: freshwater.
