Syntypes (?): BMNH 1863.12.4.82 (1, poor condition) Java, RMNH 6856 (3). Type catalog: Ferraris 2007:328 [ref. 29155]. Spelled micronemus on pp. 5-6, Pangasius smicronemus on p. 8; spelling on p. 8 regarded as a typesetting error. Also in Bleeker 1847:166 [ref. 314] as Pangasius micronemus. Current status: Valid as Pseudolais micronemus (Bleeker 1846). Pangasiidae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: Mekong and Hue rivers, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand; Malaya (Malaysia), Sumatra and Java (Indonesia), Borneo. Habitat: freshwater.
