Current status: Valid as Parambassis siamensis (Fowler 1937). Ambassidae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: Malaya (Malaysia), Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam; introduced in Singapore and Indonesia. Habitat: freshwater.
