siamensis, Demogenys Fowler [H. W.] 1934:144, Figs. 83-84 [Proceedings of the Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia v. 86; ref. 1417] Chieng Mai, northern Thailand. Holotype: ANSP 59860 [with paratypes]. Paratypes: AMNH 28140 [ex ANSP 59876-77] (2), ANSP 59861-75 (15, 1 c&s). Additional material (4). Type catalog: Böhlke 1984:103 [ref. 13621]. Correct spelling of Genus is Dermogenys. Although the holotype of Dermogenys siamensis was mixed in with the paratypes, Meisner (2001:228 [ref. 25599]) located the largest specimen which had been designated as the holotype by Fowler. •Valid as Dermogenys siamensis Fowler 1934 -- (Freyhof et al. 2000:96 [ref. 25184], Meisner 2001:227 [ref. 25599], Kottelat 2001:144 [ref. 25780], Shakhovskoy 2002:591 [ref. 26463], Collette 2004:16 [ref. 27583], Shibukawa 2009:49 [ref. 30449], Kottelat 2013:293 [ref. 32989], Taki et al. 2021:329 [ref. 39830]). Current status: Valid as Dermogenys siamensis Fowler 1934. Zenarchopteridae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: peninsular Thailand to Laos and Vietnam. Habitat: freshwater, brackish.
