(1); ref. 2147] Bajangol, Chuan che River, near Gomi, Lake Kuku Nor, Gansu, now flooded in Longyangxia, China. Lectotype: ZISP 7231. Original genus is correctly Nemacheilus. Lectotype selected by Prokofiev 2003:61 [ref. 28070], fig. 20. •Valid as Triplophysa scleroptera (Herzenstein 1888) -- (Zhu 1989:87 [ref. 17744], Wu & Wu 1992:176 [ref. 21205], Ding 1994:73 [ref. 21531], Zhu 1995:115 [ref. 25213], Chen & Zhang in Chen 1998:70 [ref. 23556], Prokofiev 2010:895 [ref. 31096], Kottelat 2012:130 [ref. 32367], Zhang et al. 2016:143 [ref. 34477], Wu et al. 2016:295 [ref. 34665], Guo 2021:539 [ref. 38618], Wang et al. 2024:24 [ref. 40861]). Current status: Valid as Triplophysa scleroptera (Herzenstein 1888). Nemacheilidae. Distribution: East Asia: Qinghai Lake and upper Yangtze River basin, Gansu Province, China. Habitat: freshwater.
