Current status: Valid as Pseudocaranx wrighti (Whitley 1931). Carangidae: Caranginae. Distribution: Southeastern Indian Ocean, southwestern Pacific: Monte Bello Islands (Western Australia) southward, east to Cape Everard (eastern Victoria, Australia). Habitat: brackish, marine.
