Holotype: USNM 89957. Paratypes: ANSP 80317 (3); USNM 96398-99 (10, 5), 96424-25 (6, 1). Type catalog: Böhlke 1984:145 [ref. 13621]. •Valid as Amblyglyphidodon azurelineatus (Fowler & Bean 1928) -- (Allen 1991:235 [ref. 19344], Allen 2001:3342 [ref. 26132]). •Valid as Altrichthys azurelineatus (Fowler & Bean 1928) -- (Allen 1999:23 [ref. 24277], Allen 2000:107 [ref. 25868], Allen 2001:3342 [ref. 26132], Allen & Erdmann 2012:566 [ref. 31980], Bernardi et al. 2017:48 [ref. 35314], Parenti 2021:43 [ref. 38418]). Current status: Valid as Altrichthys azurelineatus (Fowler & Bean 1928). Pomacentridae: Pomacentrinae. Distribution: Western Pacific: Philippines endemic. Habitat: marine.
