Holotype (unique): RMNH 6849. Bleeker specimens: BMNH 1863.12.4.58 (1). Type catalog: Ferraris 2007:368 [ref. 29155]. Appeared as Hemisilurus heterorhynchos in Bleeker 1863:Pl. 93 (fig. 2) [ref. 393] and as Hemisilurus heterorhynchus in Bleeker 1863:94 [ref. 393]; first revisor needs research. Current status: Valid as Hemisilurus heterorhynchus (Bleeker 1854). Siluridae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: Sumatra and Borneo. Habitat: freshwater.
