Mathematisch-Naturwissenschaftliche Classe v. 58 (nos 3-4); ref. 14082] Manaus, Brazil. Holotype (unique): NMW 65335. Type catalog: Ferraris et al. 2017:[11] [ref. 35236]. This species was not included in the earlier abstract of the main work [ref. 20464], but as pointed out by Lundberg et al. 2013 [ref. 32552] it was described there as Sternarchus capanemae; the two species are based on the same specimen. Current status: Valid as Sternarchella schotti (Steindachner 1868). Apteronotidae: Apteronotinae. Distribution: South America: Amazon River basin (Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia and Peru). Habitat: freshwater.
