Type catalog: Du et al. 2013:347 [ref. 32939]. •Valid as Tor polylepis Zhou & Cui 1996 -- (Kottelat 2013:168 [ref. 32989], Hoàng et al. 2015:554 [ref. 33936], Zhang et al. 2016:105 [ref. 34477], Walton et al. 2016:1 [ref. 35037], Pinder et al. 2019:[3] [ref. 36696], Jaafar et al. 2021:3 [ref. 38256], Fu et al. 2021:9570 [ref. 39347]). Current status: Valid as Tor polylepis Zhou & Cui 1996. Cyprinidae: Torinae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: upper Mekong River system (Yunnan/China) endemic. Habitat: freshwater.
