D.] 1995:14, Fig. 7 [Freshwater and Marine Aquarium v. 18 (no. 7); ref. 22671] Rio Poranga, 8 kilometers north of the Nobua oba, where the two streams join a small tributary of the upper River Negro, Brazil. Holotype (unique): LIVCM 1994.4.38. Type catalog: Ferraris 2007:124 [ref. 29155]. •Valid as Corydoras serratus Sands 1995 -- (Burgess & Finley 1996:168 [ref. 22901], Isbrücker 1999:41 [ref. 24040], Isbrücker 2001:235 [ref. 26805], Reis in Reis et al. 2003:302 [ref. 27061], Britto & Lima 2003:89 [ref. 27314], Ferraris 2007:124 [ref. 29155], Tencatt & Ohara 2016:432 [ref. 34627]). Current status: Valid as Corydoras serratus Sands 1995. Callichthyidae: Corydoradinae. Distribution: Upper Negro River basin, Brazil. Habitat: freshwater.
