Holotype: SMNS 20827. Paratypes: AMS I.39536-001 (5); CAS 209025 (5); ROM 71976 (5); SAIAB [formerly RUSI] 60472 (5); SMNS 21372 (4); USNM 339747 (57), 341905 (4), 357266 (1). Type catalog: Fricke 2005:16 [ref. 29864]. •Valid as Entomacrodus lemuria Springer & Fricke 2000 -- (Fricke et al. 2009:96 [ref. 30213], Patzner et al. 2009:454 [ref. 30396], Fricke et al. 2018:311 [ref. 35805], Arndt & Fricke 2019:12 [ref. 36883], Williams & Springer 2022:355 [ref. 39951]). Current status: Valid as Entomacrodus lemuria Springer & Fricke 2000. Blenniidae: Salariinae. Distribution: Southwestern Indian Ocean: Madagascar and western Mascarenes (La Réunion, Mauritius). Habitat: marine.
