similis, Nectamia Fraser [T. H.] 2008:37, Figs. 3C, 6A, 14, 18 [Zootaxa No. 1691; ref. 29471] Kabaena Island, Banda Sea, Indonesia. Holotype: USNM 213123. Paratypes: ROM 54320 (9); USNM 344947 (5), 344948 (17). Plus additional non-type material. Name treated as an adjective. •Valid as Nectamia similis Fraser 2008 -- (Allen & Erdmann 2012:386 [ref. 31980], Fricke et al. 2014:73 [ref. 33932], Mabuchi et al. 2014:202 [ref. 33426], Steinke et al. 2017:7 [ref. 35255], Fricke et al. 2019:132 [ref. 36673], Kuiter & Kozawa 2019:177 [ref. 36965]). Current status: Valid as Nectamia similis Fraser 2008. Apogonidae: Apogoninae. Distribution: Western Pacific: Malaysia and Indonesia east to Palau and New Ireland (Papua New Guinea), north to Philippines. Habitat: marine.
