Genus is correctly Nemacheilus. •Valid as Nemacheilus shuangjiangensis Zhu & Wang 1985 -- (Zhu 1989:65 [ref. 17744], Zhu 1995:112 [ref. 25213], Zhang et al. 2016:131 [ref. 34477]). •Valid as Schistura shuangjiangensis (Zhu & Wang 1985) -- (Kottelat 2012:118 [ref. 32367], Kottelat 2013:211 [ref. 32989], Endruweit 2014:60 [ref. 33202]). •Valid as Physoschistura shuangjiangensis (Zhu & Wang 1985) -- (Endruweit et al. 2016:598 [ref. 34743], Endruweit 2017:378 [ref. 35305], Das & Darshan 2017:412 [ref. 35638]). •Probably in a new genus -- (Kottelat 2018:311 [ref. 36206]). Current status: Valid as Physoschistura shuangjiangensis (Zhu & Wang 1985). Nemacheilidae. Distribution: Upper Mekong basin, Yunnan, China. Habitat: freshwater.
