hijazi, Cyprinion acinaces Krupp [F.] 1983:584, Figs. 7-8 [Fauna of Saudi Arabia v. 5; ref. 8320] Wadi Hediya, Saudi Arabia, about 24°00'N, 39°00'E. Holotype: BMNH 1969.1.27.50. Paratypes: BMNH 1969.1.27.51 (1), 1976.11.19.9-11 (3), 1976.11.19.12-13 (2), 1981.4.13.18 (1); NMBA 6314-6328 (14). •Synonym of Cyprinion acinaces Banister & Clarke 1977, but a valid subspecies as described -- (Krupp 1983:584 [ref. 8320], Çiçek et al. 2024:140 [ref. 40789]). Current status: Synonym of Cyprinion acinaces Banister & Clarke 1977. Cyprinidae: Barbinae. Habitat: freshwater.
