Type catalog: Springer & Orrell 1996:14 [ref. 22274]. •Valid as Dactylagnus mundus Gill 1863 -- (Dawson 1976:20 [ref. 7376], De La Cruz Agüero et al. 1997:118 [ref. 24545], Grove & Lavenberg 1997:518 [ref. 24023] [but see McCosker 1998:810 [ref. 24025]], Nelson et al. 2004:161 [ref. 27807], Love et al. 2005:152 [ref. 37547], Patzner et al. 2009:471 [ref. 30396] dated 1862, Page et al. 2013:166 [ref. 32708] dated as 1862, Love et al. 2021:194 [ref. 39279]). Current status: Valid as Dactylagnus mundus Gill 1863. Dactyloscopidae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: Pacific coast of central Baja California (Mexico) south to Panama, including Gulf of California (Mexico) and ?Galapagos Islands (Ecuador). Habitat: marine.

Other material: GCRL 12788, 12789, 12837; SIO 62-706; UBC 57-129, 57-163; UCLA W58-8, W58-24, W58-30. •Valid as Dactylagnus parvus Dawson 1976 -- (De La Cruz Agüero et al. 1997:118 [ref. 24545] as porvus, Nelson et al. 2004:161 [ref. 27807], Love et al. 2005:152 [ref. 37547], Patzner et al. 2009:471 [ref. 30396], Page et al. 2013:167 [ref. 32708], Love et al. 2021:194 [ref. 39279]). Current status: Valid as Dactylagnus parvus Dawson 1976. Dactyloscopidae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: Pacific coast of southern Baja California Sur (Mexico) south to Panama. Habitat: marine.
