Holotype: SMF 17700. Paratypes: SMF 17701-03 (1, 1, 1). •Valid as Heteroconger klausewitzi (Eibl-Eibesfeldt & Köster 1983) -- (Allen & Robertson 1994:59 [ref. 22193], Grove & Lavenberg 1997:177 [ref. 24023], Castle & Randall 1999:7 [ref. 24042], McCosker & Rosenblatt 2010:188 [ref. 30957], Sánchez-Jiménez et al. 2018:6 [ref. 36248]). Current status: Valid as Heteroconger klausewitzi (Eibl-Eibesfeldt & Köster 1983). Congridae: Heterocongrinae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: Galápagos Islands, Cocos Island. Habitat: marine.
