Current status: Valid as Trigonostigma espei (Meinken 1967). Danionidae: Rasborinae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: southern Thailand to coastal Cambodia and to the Vietnamese island of Phu Quoc. Kottelat (2013:170) changed the locality. •Valid as Rasbora hengeli Meinken 1956 -- (Brittan 1972:192-28 [ref. 12245], Kottelat et al. 1993:46 [ref. 23448], Doi 1997:12 [ref. 22832]). •Valid as Trigonostigma hengeli (Meinken 1956) -- (Kottelat & Witte 1999:54 [ref. 23898], Tan & Kottelat 2009:52 [ref. 30261], Kottelat 2013:170 [ref. 32989], Petsut et al. 2014:471 [ref. 33645], Tan 2020:422 [ref. 37544]). Current status: Valid as Trigonostigma hengeli (Meinken 1956). Danionidae: Rasborinae. Distribution: Batang Hari drainage, central Sumatra, and coastal peat swamps of Kalimantan Barat. Current status: Valid as Trigonostigma heteromorpha (Duncker 1904). Danionidae: Rasborinae. Distribution: Malay Peninsula, northern Sumatra and Sumatran Islands (Batam, Bintan, Lingga, Bangka and Belitung), Malaysia and Indonesia. IUCN (2020): Least Concern. Habitat: freshwater. somphongsi, Rasbora Meinken [H.] 1958:67, Fig. [Die Aquarien- und Terrarienzeitschrift (DATZ) v. 11 (no. 3); ref. 12090] Chao Phraya drainage, Thailand. Lectotype: whereabouts unknown. Paralectotypes: (3) ?ZMH H1190 (3), ZSM 10155 (1). Type catalog: Wilkens 1977:158 [ref. 22013], Neumann 2011:256 [ref. 31652]. Technically dates to reference above [Mar.]; also appeared in Meinken 1958:1 [ref. 26157, 1 Oct.]; technically there were syntypes, although a type was designated in ref. 26157 (and that can serve as lectotype designation) •Valid as Rasbora somphongsi Meinken 1958 -- (Brittan 1972:192-29 [ref. 12245] dated 1956, Doi 1997:13 [ref. 22832]). •Valid as Trigonostigma somphongsi (Meinken 1958) -- (Kottelat & Witte 1999:54 [ref. 23898], Kottelat 2013:170 [ref. 32989], Petsut et al. 2014:471 [ref. 33645], Tan 2020:422 [ref. 37544]). Current status: Valid as Trigonostigma somphongsi (Meinken 1958). Danionidae: Rasborinae. Distribution: Central Thailand. Habitat: freshwater. truncata, Trigonostigma Tan [H. H.] 2020:423, Figs. 2, 3, 4A, 5 [Raffles Bulletin of Zoology v. 68; ref. 37544] Stream along road branching West at about 7 km on road from Waeng to Ban Bu Ke Ta, Narathiwat Province, Thailand. Holotype: ZRC 61240. Paratypes: CMK, ZRC. Plus additional aquarium trade material. •Valid as Trigonostigma truncata Tan 2020 -- (Ahmad et al. 2023:89 [ref. 41243]). Current status: Valid as Trigonostigma truncata Tan 2020. Danionidae: Rasborinae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: east coast of the Malay Peninsula: south of the Isthmus of Kra, Narathiwat Province (Thailand) to Terengganu (Malaysia). IUCN (2024): Not Assessed. Habitat: freshwater. |
