D.] 1934:53, Fig. 7 [Journal of the Bombay Natural History Society v. 37 (pt 1); ref. 16440] Katas, Nallah, Salt Range and Khewra Gorge, Punjab, Pakistan, elevation about 2000 feet. Syntypes: whereabouts unknown. Original genus is correctly Crossocheilus. Appeared as name only in Mukerji 1933:817 [ref. 16509]. •Synonym of Crossocheilus latius (Hamilton 1822) -- (Bianco & Bănărescu 1982:81 [ref. 8508], Bănărescu 1986:148 [ref. 8112], Talwar & Jhingran 1991:415 [ref. 20764]). •Synonym of Crossocheilus diplochilus (Heckel 1838) -- (Kullander et al. 1999:133 [ref. 23689]). •Synonym of Crossocheilus latius (Hamilton 1822), subspecies diplochilus (Heckel 1838) -- (Menon 1999:141 [ref. 24904] as diplocheilus). •Synonym of Tariqilabeo diplochilus (Heckel 1838) -- (Jouladeh-Roudbar et al. 2020:95 [ref. 37983] as diplocheilus, Çiçek et al. 2024:181 [ref. 40789]). Current status: Synonym of Tariqilabeo diplochilus (Heckel 1838). Cyprinidae: Labeoninae. Habitat: freshwater.
