Holotype (unique): USNM 74386. •Valid as Careproctus attenuatus Gilbert & Burke 1912 -- (Lindberg & Krasyukova 1987:438 [ref. 15964], Pitruk 1990:36 [ref. 20303], Mecklenburg et al. 2002:623 [ref. 25968], Parin et al. 2002:S110 [ref. 28300], Chernova et al. 2004:5 [ref. 27592], Love et al. 2005:101 [ref. 37547], Orr & Maslenikov 2007:708 [ref. 29264], Kai et al. 2011:353 [ref. 31613], Parin et al. 2014:315 [ref. 33547], Murasaki et al. 2017:[6] [ref. 35767], Kai et al. 2018:[5] [ref. 35831], Kai & Matsuzaki 2019:5 [ref. 37267], Love et al. 2021:135 [ref. 39279], Dyldin & Orlov 2022:209 [ref. 39115], Murasaki et al. 2022:7 [ref. 39365]). Current status: Valid as Careproctus attenuatus Gilbert & Burke 1912. Liparidae. Distribution: North Pacific: Okhotsk Sea (?) and south of Agattu Island, Aleutian Islands; known definitely only from the holotype. Habitat: marine.
