P.] 1928:238, Pl. 18 (fig. 3) [Records of the Australian Museum v. 16 (no. 4); ref. 4661] Ten miles northeast of Montague Island, New South Wales, Australia, depth 70-80 fathoms. Holotype: AMS IA.2483. Paratypes: AMS IA.2824-25 (1, 1). •Valid as Galeus boardmani (Whitley 1928) -- (Compagno 1984:310 [ref. 6846], Paxton et al. 1989:73 [ref. 12442], Compagno & Stevens 1993:183 [ref. 20843], Gomon et al. 1994:137 [ref. 22532], Last & Stevens 1994:201 [ref. 23873], Compagno & Niem 1998:1289 [ref. 23787], Compagno 1999:479 [ref. 25589], Hutchins 2001:14 [ref. 25847], Hoese et al. 2006:86 [ref. 28999], Séret & Last 2008:27 [ref. 29702], White 2008:62 [ref. 30617]). •Valid as Figaro boardmani (Whitley 1928) -- (Gledhill et al. 2008:180 [ref. 29686], Naylor et al. 2012:46 [ref. 32267] see remarks, Weigmann 2016:38 [ref. 34211], Rigby et al. 2017:333 [ref. 35469], Soares & Carvalho 2020:379 [ref. 37593]). Current status: Valid as Figaro boardmani (Whitley 1928). Pentanchidae. Distribution: Eastern Indian Ocean, southwestern Pacific: southern Queensland (Australia) south to southern Australia and to southern Western Australia. Habitat: marine.
