Current status: Valid as Chelidoperca stella Matsunuma & Motomura 2016. Serranidae. Distribution: Eastern Indian Ocean, western Pacific: Myanmar and Andaman Sea east to Philippines and Coral Sea, north to China and Taiwan. Habitat: marine.
